Far too few seem to see the vital connection between religion and politics. Or, maybe I'm nuts; who knows? In America, it is vital, because in America, we have no real ruler. We have only the law. (See Ecumenical America.)
All other nations have someone in power who is above the law, immune to the law, or who is the law. Dictators and Kings are certainly above the law. Most Parliaments, Prime Ministers and other high officials are somewhat protected from parts of the law, or immune from prosecution. Or, they have the ability to change the law for their own benefit, and they can change it on a dime.
In other words, everyone in society is not equal under the law.
Not so here; our Constitution itself is the sovereign.
Well, that's the way it's supposed to be, but now, today the Political Parties and the people who own and operate them are, collectively, the sovereign. The Parties run the government, and the Parties are run by their owners.
All at the expense of Constitutional law, and the Constitution's operating instructions for the supposedly temporary elected government. The Constitution is now violated almost daily. That's the way it goes when behavior goes off the track and is not corrected by anyone. A little violation becomes major, and eventually, violation just takes over and becomes the new norm.
We have talked about American politics being taken over by our two major unconstitutional Political Parties in the rest of these Christian American Politics pages, linked in the right column of all of them. And, we have discussed strategies to break the Parties and return the Constitution to its proper place among the Constitutional-America pages. But all of that will be for nothing if the American People themselves have gone immoral.
The first requirement of returning to Constitutional Rule is a highly moral and virtuous People.
A People cannot be self-governing unless and until the majority of individual citizens are self-governing citizens, in no need of heavy-handed government or any large police presence. Moral, virtuous people voluntarily and freely live within the law, reducing need for police activity.
On the other hand, immoral and vicious people are always in need of restraint, by heavy-handed government and heavy police action.
So - which way do you see American culture moving?
All the glaringly immoral and unnatural sins being legally imposed upon the whole nation are coming from the top down, not from the bottom up. Alinskyite "organizations" of "demonstrators", agitators and agent provocateurs bring suites and legal actions, and push political agendas, and the "government" always takes up their cause, if it is anti-American and if it is immoral. The fact is, the "organized" and not spontaneous political agitators and demonstrators are in league with the Parties. They are one and the same thing.
The sitting American government has gone Alinskyite, too.
Do you see any such thing as abortion, homosexuality, marriage, divorce, transgenderism, ever changing gender ID, contraception, euthanasia, minimum wages, caps on earnings, behavior-modifying taxes, medical practice, insurance, redistribution, poverty, "safety net", environment, climate, etc., etc., etc., anywhere in the Constitution? Are any of them mentioned in the items listed in Article One Section Eight, among the limited and enumerated powers of government?
That's funny, neither do I. They must be out of Constitutional scope.
I wonder why all three branches of government even addresses them.
It was Protestantism that brought Contraception into social acceptance and "normalization" in Christian culture. And Contraception brought with it all the various perversions of nature and warped "virtue" prophesied by Pope Paul VI. We now have multitudes among us who believe that something bad is actually good, and that something unnatural is actually natural.
But bad is still bad, and unnatural is still unnatural.
In my lifetime, I have seen that Catholicism in America was slipping into the same sort of thing, following Protestantism. Now, it appears to have caught up, and there is little observable difference between American Catholics and American Protestants in the living of the Christian life. Both are going downhill. Catholics are now no more moral and virtuous people than anyone else.
That's not the way it's supposed to be.
Who's fault it that? Our Bishops; until someone shows me otherwise.
Many of them have gone Alinskyite, too. It's bad enough that so much of our Bishops are infected with the un-rejected presence of the infamous "Lavender Mafia" spoken of in It's the Morality, Stupid. No one is doing anything to get these creeps out of the Church; what's worse is they have authority and political power in the Church, and they are listened to by other Bishops let alone by the faithful in the pews. It's disgusting. It is the steady Catholic acceptance of active homosexuality, as "normal", as "natural", and as not even being sinful.
And that is simply disgraceful.
But it is not merely sin that our Bishops, in their majority, are either blessing or timidly not speaking out against. They, like our Political Parties, seem to be embracing Alinskyite "community organizing" for anti-American Marxist revolution, too. This is exemplified by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, or CCHD.
What we said about the CCHD in Lucifer and the CCHD:
And yet, the CCHD is sponsored by and approved by and pushed by the whole USCCB. A majority of US Catholic Bishops. It is uniformly defended by Catholic Bishops against every complaint and every charge. Every time a sinful activity supported by CCHD is identified, they stop funding that one activity, the activity changes its name, and the CCHD continues funding that activity under different names. ACORN is a good example. CCHD played a major role in electing Comrade Obama, peace be upon him, both times.
Has your Bishop stopped supporting the CCHD?
That's funny, neither has mine.
The problem is,
The question is, will that one Gospel be Catholic, or homosexual? Will it be Catholic, or Marxist? Will it favor Christian America, or oppose it?
Constitutional America cannot work in the absence of a predominantly virtuous citizenry. Here's what we said about that in Liberty:
And Christian Morality, I have always believed, depends upon the unchanging Gospel, and the fullness of Truth, which only the Catholic Church is charged by Jesus Christ Himself with maintaining.
If we ever hope to return to limited government and citizen self-governing, we have to return to virtue, and the proper living of Christian life. Not just worshiping, but living out our faith. Ecumenism means, to me, the bringing together of people to the recognition of the fullness of Truth.
We can only do that when we actually hold the fullness of Truth.
Pray for our American Bishops.

If you want to build a website like this one, this is how you do it.
Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

The Purpose of this grouping of articles is to highlight the absolutely unique political organization and therefore unique politics of the United States of America.
Christian American Politics Pages
American Politics differ from the politics of all other nations because the USA is designed to have no sovereign ruler, and no sovereign government, in the most accepted meaning of the word "Sovereign". The American Constitution itself is the only Sovereign. It provides the supreme law of the land, and the full operating instructions for the government. The representative and temporary government acts in unison with the People to make the Constitution work.
The Darkness and Depression that always accompany rejection of God. "These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full."-John 15:11. Departing from Jesus always brings on darkness and depression.
On the Inspired, Brilliant Republic of the Unique and Incomparable USA. The inspired, ingenuous and seemingly miraculously conceived concept and design of the word's first anti-tyrannical-government government.
God, Nature and the USA. The unique relationship between God, the Author of Nature, and the "Natural" political organization of the USA, as Declared and as Constituted.
Anti-God, Anti-Nature and Anti-USA. Breaking America's relationship with God and perverting man's view of Nature, first, in the Anti-USA Agenda of the Left.
Restoring USA: The simple (but difficult) task before our new President. Generations of unresisted Leftist damage and culture-rot cloud the simple task of restoring the original idea of the USA.
Ecumenical America: Christian Ecumenism's Last Best Hope. The Reformation split us apart; the Sons of Liberty and the Continental Congress sought to bring us back together.
Equality: The American versus the Marxist and Islamic Interpretations. The Equality of our Declaration is not the same as Socialist Equality, and it stands opposed to Islamic Domination.
Life: The American versus the Marxist and Islamic Interpretations. The "Life" in our Declaration is opposed to the pure utilitarianism of Socialism and the murderous domination of Islam.
Liberty: The American versus the Marxist and Islamic Interpretations. The "Liberty" in our Declaration is opposed to the pure social-sameness of Socialism and the absolute domination of Islam.
Pursuit Of Happiness: As in America, versus under Marxism or under Islam. The "Pursuit Of Happiness" in our Declaration as compared to the "Happiness" of the Socialist Collective, and the "Happy Sadistic Domination" of Islam.
Returning to American Ecumenism: the First Step in National Salvation. American Ecumenism, among the citizenry, may be the last "Big" hope the world has for Christian Ecumenism.
Reform Islam? How, exactly? Can you rewrite the Koran? Seeking out "Moderate Moslems" who will "Reform Islam" is a fool's errand. Islam is irreformable.
Reform Marxism? No way. No part of Marxism is useful to America. Trying to Reform Marxism is a fool's errand. Marxist ideology of Revolution assumes a priori that whatever institution exists needs to be destroyed.
Creating Pre-Revolutionary Chaos: Disorder masked as a "New Order". Revolutionaries must upset the existing order, while convincing the victim population that all the chaos they see is not of their doing.
On the hidden Marxist Injustice in "Social Justice" and "Democracy". And the Injustice in the sneaky, underhanded psychological blending of Communism with Christianity.
Failure to Anathematize anyone always leads to being Anathematized ourselves. We ought to just say "Let us be Anathema" the minute we stop shutting out mortal enemies of the Church and mortal enemies of the Nation.
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
