1 Cor 5 tells us to keep apart from sinners and keep ourselves apart from sin. It is a story of an excommunication of a sinner from the Church. He was later reinstated after repenting, but 1 Cor 5 is about separation, and judging those who remain in good standing. Such "judgment" is today condemned by the "Church of Nice" priests and bishops, and yes, Pope Francis. Nevertheless, there it is, in 1 Cor 5.
