While we have been off worrying about our own government suppressing our religion, Party Politics has been quietly infiltrating the Church and turning it into a Government Agency.

The problem that has always existed between civil law and ecclesial law cuts both ways:

1. When civil law rules ecclesial law, you have a theocracy in which anyone holding to any non-national religion may be held to be a traitor to the nation.
2. When ecclesial law rules civil law, you have a theocracy in which everyone in civil government and all civil law must be under the control of and in full compliance with the national religion, or they may be held to be an apostate and a traitor.

Hence, the generally accepted American principle of keeping ecclesial law and civil law strictly separated, while allowing, within reason, freedom of religion, and while maintaining, within reason, Christian morality as a foundational basis for civil law. The beginning point of any civil law that makes sense and works is a fixed standard of right versus wrong, and in America, that standard is the Christian standard. That is how Americans tell right from wrong.
