What's going on with Pope Francis and the Catholic Left in the Vatican these days appears at first glance to be a near mirror-image of what's going on with the American Political Left, after the successful challenge and ultimate triumph of President Elect Trump.

And that is, of course, that they just can't handle it. They can't even be talked off of the ledge. They just keep getting nuttier and nuttier, flailing about for some way to get back in control of public information.
