On the Anti-Church metastasizing within the Roman Catholic hierarchy.

The anti-Church within the Church: the anti-Papal agenda advancing even in the Vatican itself.

In a recent rant, I strongly criticized the popular intellectual notion of the "inevitable" eventual global government, in the New World Order page. That was inspired the the writing of Malachi Martin, in The Keys Of This Blood. What got me going was a new, to me, view of the motivation of John Paul the Great in bringing the Papacy, very publicly, into the center of global geopolitics.

While to all outward appearances, the end result was good, it might be wise to ponder the nature of that "good", and to counterbalance it with what might have been some bad results.

The major players in that epic historical geopolitical play were, of course, JPII, Mikhail Gorbachev, Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. Gorbachev just may have been the only one among them who from the beginning knew generally, if not exactly, where he was going, with everyone else (except JPII) working from a watchful, hostile but negotiable position. JPII, however, different from all the others, was almost reckless in his approach. He meant to bring about change.

That was the focus of his attention, even though there were widespread and growing displays of un-Catholicity among Bishops and clergy all over the world. He was aware of it, but totally focused on what he saw as the larger and more important problem at the time.
