How did we, as a people, ever come to believe so many silly things?

We have discussed, perhaps unto death, the differences between subjective and objective truth; perception versus reality. But in the seeking of actual reality on any matter the properly formed conscience is the essential tool. If his conscience is not properly formed, the seeker is quite unlikely to arrive at actual reality.
