America was founded, by Christians, to be Christian. However flawed their Christianity may have been by the heresy of Protestantism, and however the Founders may have differed on Christian Theology, they all agreed on Christian Morality, which, at that time and in that era, was pretty close to identical to that of Catholicism, the One True Church. A reading of their own written words and a reading of their Declaration of Independence confirms it.
