On the nature of Warfare, on the eve of 2016 Election Day.

In this world, you can wage Spiritual Warfare, Political Warfare or Military Warfare. But standing neutral will not save you or your children from evil in this wold.

The ultimate default, when everything else fails, is military warfare.

That's just the way it is.

Man is built for organized warfare. Christian evangelism is itself a form of organized warfare. We cannot advance Truth without confronting Falsehood. Our Lord sent His Church out to all nations, with a clear mandate to "make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" in Matt 28:19.

That was an open declaration of war against evil, which would always be hard fought in this world. 11 of the original 12 sent forth were horribly martyred in the effort. Evil does not just stand aside, nor is evil easily or always converted. In fact, Evil advances whenever and wherever it can advance. Murderously so. Evil is never neutral.
