Since the errors of Enlightened Modernism split the human quest for truth into Theological Science and Material Science, and then set Material Science against all of Theology in a most antagonistic way, Material Science, having abandoned God, degenerated into Scientism. There are exceptions, of course; but as a rule, material scientists deny God, and can no longer objectively consider any argument tainted with theology. Scientism is hopelessly biased against anything immaterial.
