We said as much way back in Obama Wants a World War. You can't say we didn't warn you.

World war is coming; make no mistake about that. And any war veteran will testify to the fact that once the bullets are flying, the battle plan becomes a backup-plan if it is not completely out the window. You can forget your "Just War Theology" and your careful, tit-for-tat, "commensurate" actions. You will not have time to consider them when your very life is at stake, along with the life of your nation and your constitution.

As a matter of practical reality there is no such thing as a "just war". But there is such a thing as War, which is to say, Hell.
