The Ten Commandments form the roots of Judaeo-Christian morality, which is the morality of Western Civilization and the morality of America. Go down through the citizen rights listed in the Bill Of Rights and compare them to the Commandments and you will see that this is true. And it holds true for all the rest of American Constitutional Rights. God's Commandments are at the deep originating root of all of them, and they form the original basis and foundation for all American secular law. It's how Americans, and America, define and know simple right from wrong.
