This website began life in mid-December 2005, when the Home Page was first published. SBI (Solo Build It) is the site-building toolset and hosting that I use. SBI gives me a huge amount of daily statistics on all the "hits" my various webpages get on this website. There are currently some 425 webpages on the whole website, and the number goes up every time I (or you) publish a new article, since each new article is another new webpage.
The daily statistics are way too much to try to keep up with anywhere other than within the SBI toolset itself. I started keeping track on a more manageable monthly basis using an Excel spreadsheet some time back, and now it seems appropriate to maybe copy the spreadsheet and begin to keep monthly totals on their own webpage right here. Every month, I will add the latest month's stats and bump the totals appropriately, if I remember. (I'm getting old, you know.)
The months and years are counting backwards to December 2005, since that's when the site was born. So it shows the upward progression of added traffic over time.
Total Visits: This is the number of "hits" or actual accesses to this website.
Total Unique Visitors: This is the number of unique individuals who visited.
Total Pages Viewed: This is the total number of site webpages viewed by the unique visitors who made the total number of visits.
Confused? Good; that means I am not alone.

Explanation:
In December 2005, for the portion of the month that the website was
active, 31 unique individuals visited the website 132 times and viewed
261 pages. All that means is that when someone viewed one webpage on
this website, they usually stuck around long enough to view more than
one webpage and/or some of them came back and visited again.
Note: In July 2014 we changed the URL name from
Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center.com to
CatholicAmericanThinker.com
and saw an immediate drop in traffic as a result. It is slowly building back to July 2014 levels under the new name.
Was it a mistake, or not? Who knows. Time will tell.

Note: Of general interest - June 2013 saw a significant drop in site traffic, and I tried to find out why.
- In foreign traffic, there was a significant drop - in fact, in some Eastern European countries, an elimination - of traffic, which seems to have been due to government action centering in Russia. Russian government claimed to have shut down some sites that were involved in Chechnyan terrorism I believe what they actually did was to shut down or otherwise control one or more major IP providers.
- In America the news of the NSA scandal, the IRS scandal, re the un-Constitutional government gathering of citizen personal information made a lot of people begin avoiding internet usage altogether.
Foreign
traffic is slowly coming back as people find other ways to get to the
internet, but it remains to be seen if people will ever trust the
American government to stay out of their business again. Especially if
they are even gathering keystrokes.
