It is the feast of the Annunciation, when Mary, the New Eve, who, as it has been solemnly declared, was conceived without the stain of the Original Sin of the First Eve, was addressed by Gabriel, an Angel of God. It is the beginning of the New Testament, just as it was prophesied in the Old Testament.
Latin Mass Readings for the Annunciation:
Mary's question, "How shall this happen, since I do not know man?" was the expected question of a professed virgin. And Mary's Fiat was the purely faith-based necessary free will choice that brought the Incarnation of God into worldly reality, and that opened the path of redemption to men of good will, if they would freely choose to take it.
Thus Mary was, all at once, the Daughter of the Father, the Spouse of the Spirit and the Mother of the Son. No one else on earth or in history, no mere mortal ever held such a close and intimate relationship with God.
The Homily was soul-stirring on many levels, but the theme that seemed most important addressed the corrupt political conditions of that day, which appear to have been even worse than the corrupt political conditions we see all around us today.
And that means there is still hope.
Hope is the necessary virtue that can and must overcome the sin of despair.
At the time of the Annunciation, the government of Israel, like the government of Rome, which is to say the government of the world, was corrupt. Herod, Rome's puppet secular ruler of Israel was corrupt. The Sanhedrin was corrupt. The Pharisees were corrupt. The "Church" of their day was corrupt. The Priesthood was corrupt. There was actual warfare between various factions of the Jews themselves at the time.
The Jewish leaders of the day were pedantic and dictatorial in their rules of diet, washings, purifications and observances for others, but all their pedantry regarding rules and observances were dissociated from God, the very reason for their rules and laws and observances. Thus, they were pious by appearance, and for political appearances sake, but not pious in fact. Their minds (and souls) were obsessed with and fixated upon this world.
And worldly power, recognition and authority.
The dangers of those unsettled, disordered, troubled times permeated the air everyone breathed, affecting everyone, including even the Twelve.
Next Sunday is Palm Sunday, the day of Jesus' 'triumphant' entry into Jerusalem. And most, including even the Twelve, still did not necessarily understand the nature of the 'triumph'. Most thought that it might be an upsetting of the current rulers and the establishment of Jesus on a ruling throne.
But it was to be a triumph of humility over pride. The last thing expected.
Jesus had told them straight up that He would suffer, be put to death, and would rise again on the third day, but either they didn't hear, didn't understand, didn't remember or didn't take His words seriously. When the hour came, they all fell away.
What came out of all of that upheaval, bloodshed, destruction and turmoil was a new Church: Christianity, and, eventually, after much persecution of Christianity, a new Civil Order: A Christianized Western Civilization.
Our civilization, until Marx, was Greco-Roman civilization gone Christian.
Where is there any hope today for the Church, America, the world?
Jesus Himself told us that the very gates of hell would not prevail against His Church in Matthew 16:18, and note well that a Gate is a defensive, not an offensive, weapon.
So long as heroes such as Abp. Vigano and Card. Burke and like men are with us, the Church stands, despite internal corruption and warfare. The Church, and the entire unchanged Depositum Fidei, will survive until the end of times.
But what about civilization itself, let alone Constitutional America, let alone the Natural Law Civil Rights of Equlity, Life, Liberty and Property?
My hope in the resurrection of Constitutional America rests on two personal presumptions.

Mary, Our Lady Of Hope, never doubted. She shows us the Way.
Take the simple one-line prayer on the Miraculous Medal to heart. Add it after your Morning offering each day. Add it after each Rosary. Add it after your examination of conscience and Act Of Contrition each night. Pray it after Grace Before Meals.
O Mary Conceived Without Sin, Pray For Us Who Have Recourse To Thee.
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

Get behind President Trump, or someone just like President Trump if such a person exists, and make America Constitutional again.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
