Question: Who put the government in charge of science, or medical practice, or mental health? What does the state have to say about the practice of science itself, let alone who is or is not a scientist?
You really need to watch this Church Militant Mic'd Up episode.
If you're not already a premium subscriber to Church Militant, you will only get the quickie-snapshot version. Subscribe. Believe me, it's worth the ten buck monthly subscription. If there are mental health issues in your household, believe me, this one episode alone is well worth the subscription fee for you and yours.
Where 'official' psychology went off the tracks was when it went atheist, and took the soul (i.e., psyche) out of psychology and psychiatry, and began treating solely the physical (and mystical and mythological) human brain. Freud was an atheist. Jung was also supposedly an atheist, but an atheist who was also a Gnostic who 'cross-channeled' with ancient, long dead Gnostics. Both falsely claimed the scientific reality of the 'subconscious' human mind, and pretended to have actually studied them. There is no way they could have done that, and there is no way that anyone could ever or has ever done it.
Jung believed that there were and are disembodied subconscious minds out there floating around in the ether, that some of them joined up to form 'collective' subconscious minds, and that they could be detected, and that they detected and communicated with embodied subconscious minds.
In other words, and in simple terms, they were nuts.
If you go through the Freudianism Pages you will see that there is not and never was any real science behind any of Sigmund Freud's wild imaginations and hare-brained theories. And yet, he is still hailed today as the 'Father' of modern psychiatry and psychology, and probably the most followed, quoted and referred to 'scientist' in the entire field of mental health.
Now there is a new (to me) return of the psyche into psychology and psychiatry, in the field of Psychomoralitics.
Moral monsters like Freud, Jung, Adler, Kinsey, etc., were the 'doctors' of psychotropic drugs, and of immorality posing as normalcy and acceptable behavior. In denying the supernatural (except for occult Gnosticism) they embraced the absolutely unnatural as being somehow natural. Like I said, they were nuts.
In Repressed Memory Syndrome we examined the pseudo-science behind the whole fraudulent Freudian field of Psychoanalysis. Here are some questions we raised about it:
We submit that nothing in the quasi-religion of Freudianism is scientific. There is no empiricism; there is no objectivity; indeed, nothing it says is in any way objective, and all of it is purely subjective.
Because it enjoys near universal support among leading academicians and 'scientists', Freudianism, like Darwinism, may be called 'Old Boy's Club' or 'Me Too' Scientism, but the one thing it may not properly be called is science. There is nothing scientific about it.
In this first brush with Psychomoralitics, it is good to see someone putting the Soul (Psyche) back into the study of the soul (psychology).
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
