The sheer arrogance of federal bureaucrats may be shocking to some, but was quite predictable, since the federal bureaucracy, i.e., the Washington Swamp, has been actually running America as if it were the elected government for quite some time now. The Washington Bureaucracy is an unconstitutional fourth branch of the federal government, grown too big for its britches.
Not only does Jerome Powell refuse to abdicate his throne of the FED, but Lisa Cook refuses to leave her exalted position on Board of Governors of the FED after being fired for cause. Why, it's her right to be on the board! Who the hell does the President think he is? Jerome Powell?!!!
President Trump should not waste time screwing around with court decisions on such matters because most of the judiciary is just another part of the Permanent Government, or Swamp, if you prefer. While his Republicrat Party has majorities in the House and the Senate, he should move to repeal the Federal Reserve Act of 1913, and then just shut the whole thing down, defund it, fire everyone in it and be done with it.
Printing and coining of American currency would move back under direct control of Treasury where it belongs. America has no real need of any Federal Reserve Banks with special privileges other banks do not enjoy, and no need of their "expert" fixing of interest rates. All banks, credit unions savings-and-loans businesses should naturally and
- competitively set their own interest rates on loans to attract borrowers, and
- competitively set their own interest rates on saving to attract depositors.
Interest rates would then be naturally set by the movement of money.
In the final absence of the FED, all Treasury should be interested in controlling would be the supply of money, which is to say, inflation and deflation, or the actual buying power of American currency. Inflation is best controlled by applying Milton Frieman's theory of Monetarism, which ties the printing of dollars, by percentage, to the rise of native born citizens, by percentage. As we add more citizens to the population, the number of dollars in circulation should be similarly increased so that an increasing number of citizens are not scrambling for the same or shrinking number of dollars.
Whatever the citizen birth rate is in a year should match the rate of increase in new dollars put in circulation that year, with a limit threshold not to exceed around 2 or 2.5 percent. That's it. That's all Treasury has to do to keep inflation at or below 2.5% per year.
We sure as hell don't need any FED just to do that.
There's no real need to fire anyone. Just shut the whole thing down.
Then there's the situation over at CDC where Chief Bureaucrat Susan Monarez has been fired by the President, but is refusing to believe it, or that the President has the authority to fire any bureaucrats, or even that she is a bureaucrat, and not a Recognized Queen of an Independent and Autonomous Royal Agency. She will not step down, she would have us all know. Her position is Permanent.
Again, President Trump should not waste time and effort going through the equally corrupted court system when the whole CDC, like a thundering herd of other federal bureaucracies, is an illegal and unconstitutionally existing bureaucracy in the first place.
CDC stands for Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. If you look carefully at the list of limited and enumerated constitutional powers of the federal government, you will not see anything to do with CDC in that list.
Don't look now, but that makes the CDC an unconstitutional agency.
That goes for any bureaucracy that is not in the list. If Congress established it, Congress violated the Constitution to do it. If a President established it, a President violated the Constitution to do it. If it is not listed in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution, it would take nothing less than an Amendment to the Constitution to create it.
That's the Constitution talking, not me.
President Trump could, and we believe should, simply declare the CDC to be unconstitutional, defunded, everyone in it fired, every regulation it ever issued to be null, void and no law. And that goes for all of the sub-bureaucracies and sub-sub-bureaucracies, etc., within it.
All unconstitutional bureaucracies and their regulations should be similarly eliminated, along with their regulations, and any and all laws establishing them should likewise be struck down as unconstitutional.
Everything the CDC does would be better done by the private sector. Everything the CDC has ever done would have been done better by the private sector. As time goes on and the CDC grows and becomes more arrogant, aloof and full of itself, it does far more harm than good.
As a six-year Army veteran who served in West Germany during the Cold War, and in Vietnam during a hot war, I have had vaccinations up the wazoo, and have no problem with vaccines, that work.
About half a century ago we stopped getting flu shots because they didn't work. We noticed that everyone who got the flu shots got the flu more often than those who did not get the flu shot. And we learned about the annual or even more often mutations, or mutant-forms of flu, which were causing the vaccine makers to continually update the flu vaccine to include new variants. ??? The one you're going to get, whether you're vaccinated or not, is the latest variant they haven't included in the vaccine yet.
So once in a quite rare while we, the unvaccinated, would get a case of flu, it would be quite mild, and we would get over it. Vaccinated friends would get more serious bouts of flu. So why get the flu shots?
Cold viruses are no different than flu viruses in that respect. They continually mutate. We already knew that when Covid hit, and so we didn't get any vaccinations for it, and we're glad we didn't. We never even got tested for Covid; why should we? Finding traces of any virus in your nose does not mean you are infected with it; it only means that your nose did what it is supposed to do, and captured a virus before you inhaled it.
And, as much as possible in an impossible world to do it in, we avoided masking as an exercise in stupidity. No cloth or paper mask can screen out any virus. Period.
If we know that, why doesn't the CDC know that?
We see the CDC as incompetent, stupid and evil, and the cause of innumerable deaths during the Covid pandemic.
CDC does not deserve to continue to exist.
