The problem with un-seriousness, casual drifting, going along to get along, tolerating and being tolerated, is that it makes us less aware of Truth, and even the fact that Truth exists at all. And sooner or later we may come to the point where Truth will confront us. Unavoidably. We won't be able to side-step it or get around it. And if we don't even recognize it for what it is, it will smack us upside the head.
The latest Church Militant "Vortex" episode (click the image) reminded me of all of this. It's about resistance to untruth, in the interest of serving Truth. And how we are all called to do that; but we don't.
I can't tell you how this site has been attacked and how many people have hurled some parting insult and sworn never to come back here again because we don't just resist untruth here; we attack it. It has become our lot to move from defense to aggression. We go after untruth and let the chips fall where they may. The people who have anonymously complained, or who have sent in comments "not to be published", or who have sent e-mails, phone calls or even, in some instances, in-person confrontations, are legion.
The most recent examples of this "divorce" from CatholicAmericanThinker.com came after publishing the Crudification page. But Absolute Truth got it's share, on the Political side of things, as did No Salvation Outside the Church on the Religious side. There are lots and lots of other examples from lots and lots of other pages, but these are the ones that come to mind the most. Nobody wants to face the Truth when they have been tricked into denying it for many years. When untruth is supported by academia, by journalism, by a political Party, by a religious denomination, or even by a heterodox Catholic Bishop, real truth becomes fuzzy and less distinct. But Truth is Real.
It ain't easy coming back to Truth.
But if you don't do it soon, you may lose your chance to do it at all.

I am sometimes reminded of an axiom that I encountered some years ago. In a court of law, truth is often the first casualty. In today's court of public opinion truth hardly has a chance to emerge. Political Correctness and the willingness to seemingly digest the foulest of lies appears to have become commonplace. If anyone should doubt this I urge a review of what is being published by the government's Bureau of Labor statistics. Out right lies that involve the economic indicators that many depend upon to prepare budgets, business plans and concepts. Unfortunately it neither begins or stops there. The truth among many today appears to be determined by what one is willing to believe and if that lie conforms favorably with a personally held view.
Unfortunately those that accept the lies, outright nonsense, appear to lack the ability to distinguish between the truth of a matter or an outright lie. This brings to mind are they simply useful idiots or true purveyors of evil?
This malaise of the national conscience appears to have begun in Washington itself and like a virus, consumed the media, popular opinion and now has infected religion. I cite the pope as the most recent example, which points to the deception of the Western world. And who might I be to take exception with his holiness? Simply one who acts upon the gift of conscience. Truth continues to be a casualty
I continue to hope for a resurgence of truth in the world and the recognition and expulsion of evil from the institutions that once served so well but now have become cancers of the human spirit.
Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.
Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life; please God, and live forever.

The Truth Pages
Highlighting the inconvenient, uncomfortable and alienating absolute divisiveness of Truth. We either stand in Truth, or we do not. Truth is simple black and white. There are no shades of grey. You will either align yourself with the ruler of the world, or with the Creator of the world, Who is Truth Himself.
The Politics versus Truth dichotomy conundrum. Even knowing how vehemently both Establishment Political Parties hate the Constitution, it's still shocking how openly they oppose that which they have all sworn to uphold.
Questioning Truth: "There is no absolute truth", say the Enlightened Elite. Questioning Truth itself has been the pop-culture wave since the 1960s. Loss of faith in man's ability to even identify reality is the real source of all the social chaos.
When Worldly Authority meets Truth, it is Decision Time. When Just Authority meets Truth there is harmony; when Unjust Authority meets Truth, there is a Contest.
Truth is the only thing we can Unite on. Yet Real Truth Divides. Truth Divides, because Truth Hurts. Any "Truth" that indiscriminately Unites is a False Truth.
Regarding the SLIMC Vs. the Truth. Regarding the SLIMC (Secularist Liberal Intellectual Media Complex) and its treatment of the Truth.
Returning America to her original consecration; the Way the Truth and the Life. Is it to be the Way the Truth and the Life, or is it to be randomness, pointlessness and oblivion?
The Truth about Islam, finally, in a homily at Mass. You never hear the unvarnished truth about Islam, or other evils, from Catholic clerics. Maybe that's finally changing.
Truth Denial: Über-elitist, high intellectual, super sophisticated Stupidity. Evil = Falsehood; the opposite of Truth. It is not possible to oppose reality and not be stupid.
How Truth Hurts, when it smacks us in the face. But if Truth hurts, it also saves, and makes us free (John 8:23)
Truth versus Agenda addresses the simplest of problems greatly complexified. Truth versus Agenda examines the contest between reality and its opposition.
Truth Versus Evil sums up this whole Website in one concise sermon. Truth versus Evil, or, The Kingdom versus The World, describes the contest. Do we really recognize the contestants?
Absolute Truth, as The Winning Political Force to be Reckoned With. The 2016 Candidate who stands in Truth rather than whatever various audiences want to hear will beat everyone, severely.
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
Truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.—Winston Churchill
The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities.—Ayn Rand
