We are the good guys, and we don't do what the bad guys do. If we did, how would we be any better than them. Would we not become bad guys ourselves?
That's a good argument, in a classroom or around some discussion table, but bad guys need to be opposed effectively. Standing up to a bully or someone menacing you or a neighbor is not becoming a bad guy. Quite the opposite.
Truman fired MacArthur for acting to win the Korean War, and we are living with the consequences. We're still there, aren't we? It isn't over, is it?We stopped fighting wars to win them when Truman fired MacArthur. The fear was that, if MacArthur crossed the 38th parallel it might bring Red China into the war, and we didn't want to fight a war with Red China. The problem with that fear was that we were already fighting a war with Red China, but we were fighting it in Korea. And since we were then loath to fight a war inside Red China then, when it would have been easier to win, we are now in a stand-off against a far more powerful and far more dangerous nuclear armed Red China with a much more consolidated and centralized power over all of China. So here we are.
Pro-Communist anti-American Walter Cronkite got students rioting and burning in the streets, toppled the Presidency of Lynden Johnson and got the Congress to cut off money, fuel and ammo to American forces in combat, demonstrating the raw political power of the Leftist global news media over all the governments of the still free nationsKorea was the setup for the next war against Communist aggression in the Vietnam War. From the beginning, it was a lost cause because invading North Vietnam was off the table. That meant all we or anyone could do was ward off the invading army of North Vietnam. It was therefor a war fought not to win it, but to make an invading army stop invading.
All we had to do was to take North Vietnam and it would have been over.
But no, we just hunkered down and defended South Vietnam. The two major enemy forces were the NVA, or North Vietnam Army, and the Viet Cong, which means the Vietnamese Communist Party, operating in South Vietnam. After the Tet Offensive was crushed, there were not enough Viet Cong left alive to carry on the fight, and so the NVA had to step up their game in both numbers and effort just to keep the ball rolling.
The already Communist American and perhaps world news media brought the whole war to a disastrous close by falsely reporting military victories as losses and generally propagandizing for the Communist cause, and getting students to burn their own campuses down, and we had the armed insurgencies of the Weather Underground, SLA, Black Panthers, etc., committing bombings, arsons, robberies, murders and assassinations.
It was the Hippy era of peace and love. And dope. And debauchery.
Most art and statuary depicting Lenin shows him leaning and pointing FORWARD, always forward, never yielding ground gained, no matter whether they are winning or losing at any moment in time.Like all good Marxists, the America Left has not retreated from any ground taken since the 1960's violence.
Everyone brought in by criminal action of the Marxocrat Party during the four Biden open-the-borders years, including CCP agents and operators, Jihadists, foreign gang and cartel members, along with all the native born anti-Americans under Marxocrat Party sponsorship and protection, from the BLM-ers and Antifa to the Global Warming nuts and the LGBTQ nuts, and including all the Marxocrats in the House, the Senate, the Courts, the Prosecuting Attorney's offices, state and local governments, and more, are not giving one inch of taken ground back. Taking their queue from Lenin, they will double-down on their lies and they will only move forward, never backward, from wherever they are.
Until they are decisively stopped.
That is the nature of Marxist Progressivism.

We will find ways to get them out of our country or we will lose it.
