I had been an avid listener to Rush Limbaugh for many, many years, and I always held and still do hold him in very high esteem. No one else around was anywhere near as strong and staunch a supporter of the American ideal, all wrapped up in her Declaration and her Constitution. That's real America; America as she was designed and intended to be.
But when the name of Donald Trump was first bandied about as a candidate for President, I was unimpressed, because, in my unstudied opinion, he was a ner-do-well and perhaps a scoundrel. And I said so, in some of my early writings on this website.
But when Trump and Melania came down that escalator and he made that electrifying speech, and then, immediately, Rush Limbaugh practically pronounced him to be the next President, I had to look closer at Trump.
Question: How could Rush be so dead certain about Trump, so soon?
Answer: Rush knew Trump, personally.
I had to look back at where I got all this negative opinion from, and it was, primarily, his business practices involving "fixing" broken companies, by use of bankruptcy laws to not pay all of those broken company's debts, by paying perhaps pennies on the dollar. Very nearly all negative information that I found about Trump came out of, guess what, the Mainstream Media, which was already every bit as Marxist and anti-American as the formerly Confederate, Democrat and now Marxocrat Party.
Of course they would be anti-Trump; they were anti-American.
Still, I wasn't totally convinced, and I held on to supporting Ted Cruz until he dropped out of the race. Then, unhappily at the time, I switched my support to Trump, as the best alternative left.
But then he got elected, and - Boom!
He did everything he said he would do, and more. He really did make America great again. In every way. In domestic policy, in foreign policy, in national defense, in border security, in fuel independence, in national economics, in lowering taxes, in raising personal income across the board, in bringing business and manufacturing back home, in foreign trade, etc., etc., etc.
Very quickly. Making us energy independent, and an exporter of energy.
And angering the Marxist political opposition so much that they
Trump has proved himself, with actions, not words.
So you may number me among the Trump Nuts, or Trumpians, or Trumpsters, or whatever term is most popular with you. I don't mind at all, in fact, I appreciate being called a Trump Nut.
It's kind of like being called a Gun Nut, a term I use affectionately. Indeed, I may be the Chief Resident Gun Nut of Willowgate Lane, and proud of it. Read through the Anti-American Gun Control Pages to see my "Gun Nut" support of Constitutional America.
And, read through The Trump Phenomenon Pages and see if you don't become a little bit more of a Trump Nut, like me.
Trump ain't perfect, but then neither are we. And who do you see anywhere on the political scene anywhere near as good a man as he?
In politics, most often, the man makes the office. In Trump's case, as in Lincoln's, and as in Washington's, I believe it was more on the order of the office making the man. The sheer responsibility outweighed everything else in his life. Lincoln and Washington, both, were virtually uneducated as compared to their political contemporaries. And our President Trump is virtually unsophisticated as compared to his political contemporaries.
He is one of us rather than one of them. He certainly is no politician.
He is, very simply, a very successful American citizen, as successful as we all would ever wish or hope to be.
As pointed out elsewhere herein, Trump is not even a Catholic. Yet, by the living of his life, especially the most recent years of his life, I submit that he is certainly more "Catholic" than John Kennedy, JoBama O'Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Blase Joseph Cupich, Theodore McCarrick or Jorge Mario Bergoglio.
We have elsewhere herein recommended a Trump - Trump ticket, in which Trump runs for President and one of his children runs for Vice President.
May it come to be.

The greatest thing about Trump is that he is not a politician by career or education - whatever else he may be, an ideologue (particularly of the Marxist useful idiot/provocateur kind) he is not. He lives in actual reality where you have to put your money where your mouth is every day of the day. That's why Donald Trump approached American problems with a proper savvy of a businessman and not meaningless speech of other American politicians - I don't think he even considers emptily bluffing (like the other politicians) his way through. Plus, it's obvious from his habits, his body language, his campaign and everything else that Donald believes in actual America far more then the Marxists and Globalists of the world - and that automatically makes him better then them. It is my belief that if Donald was elected instead of Obama back then, we wouldn't have all these Arab Springs and Russia tearing pieces of Ukraine and Georgia - after all, Russia would not dare do this if there was a strong American leader at the steering wheel.

Steve and Pidlubniak:
Right you are; and he didn't have to do this. It cost him dearly to do it. He didn't need all this aggravation and trouble; any lesser man would have just walked away from it long ago, and just lived the happy life of a rich man. He could just walk away; but he isn't waking away. That's a very important point.
This cost him millions, and it is still costing him millions.
The difference between Trump and professional politicians today is the difference between sophistry and real-world practicality. The world elites today have turned the word sophisticated into a mere synonym for communist, because that's what it really means among the elites.
Our "Liberals" are quite literally out to destroy Constitutional America, and our "Conservatives" are all too happy to sit down in bipartisan cooperation and "have a conversation" with them about that. Kind of like the Israeli politicians who are willing to sit down with the Palestinians and "have a conversation" about how the Palestinians intend to wipe the Israelis out.
Sophists talk. Realists work.
It isn't just America that needs Trump; the whole world needs Trump.
Along with a good strong dose of reality.
Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
