I almost threw my whole coffee cup at the TV when, in a paid commercial, a supposedly Christian "Pastor" came out in support of Ohio Issue 1, making child-murder into a state constitutional right.
"Judge not, lest ye be judged", intoned the screwball "Pastor", studiously avoiding the Lord Jesus' instruction to not judge as the world judges, but to judge rightly [John 7:24]. If we are never to exercise judgement then we are to descend into Tucker Carlson's preferred political system of anarchy, in which everyone can do whatever they want, and just rob or kill whomever they choose, and not be judged.
Aborting human babies is a "personal choice", this demonic "Pastor" would have us know, and the government should stay out of it. He says this even as he works to put the government squarely into it, by making baby murder into a state constitutional right, so than no law at any level in any locality, no family and no individual in Ohio may disagree with it.
He says keep government out of it even as he puts government into it.
The proper priorities for the proper living of a Judeo-Christian life are
Our abortion-loving "Pastor" skips right down to Self. As if the individual was more important than the nation, the family, and even God. And he calls himself a Pastor. Every individual cannot make his own rules for the living of life, lest we lose our humanity and live like mere animals.
Our humanity has a price. It has a cost. It is not unbounded. It is not unrelated to other human beings. It is not unrelated to God.
Until recent history, abortion amounted to the unwarranted taking of innocent human life, or murder, for thousands of years of Christian and Jewish history. Even knowing how the pro-abortion legion hates humanity, hates the family and hates God, it is astounding that it could have gained so much ground in so short a time as to potentially represent a majority vote anywhere in America, let alone in Ohio. But here we are.
Since the Cultural Maxist Revolution began taking over world and American academia and all formal education a hundred years ago, each generation since has been increasingly Marxified, anti-Americanized and successively dumbed-down to the point where the youngest generations think that, if it's legal, it must be moral.
But the state does not define morality. Religion does that.
The history of that evil progression relating to abortion was discussed in the Abortion In America page.
For the sake of the babies, for the sake of our own souls, and for the sake of the soul of Ohio,
See the wording of Ohio Issue 1 here.
See the open questions regarding that purposely vague wording here.
Entertainers Cheech and Chong made dope smoking "cute", and comical, and entertaining, and popular. Much as Hollywood, back in the day, made public drunkenness cute, and comical, and entertaining, and popular. But smoking dope and getting drunk have a tragic face that is avoided by entertainment, because tragedy is not so entertaining.
They have a deleterious effect on the human mind, they put people out of control of their own senses, and they are addictive. Used in enough quantity or over a long enough period of time, they make people stupid, and they even make people criminal.
Just as the 18th Amendment was wrong to prohibit alcohol, it would be wrong for the government to go in the opposite direction and turn alcohol usage into some kind of legal right.
And it is wrong to make marijuana legal in Ohio just because other states have done so, to their own detriment.
Freedom of religion, and the other freedoms of the First Amendment and of the rest of the Bill Of Rights, are the whole reason for the limited and enumerated legislative powers of the United States. Morals flow from religion. While all the Colonies (becoming states) were Christian, or called themselves Christian, they were of wildly differing confessions of Christianity. For whatever they may have lacked in a common and cohesive Christian theology, for the most part, they still shared a common and cohesive, Commandment-based morality.
At least until the 1930 Lambeth Conference disastrously snuck artificial contraception in the moral door, opening a new door to eventually welcome in all forms of sexual perversions. Today all of the continually multiplying denominations of Protestantism bless and approve of contraception, most approve of sodomy, of all things, and many have gone "anything goes" in the world of perversely achieving sexual gratification.
It's a "personal matter" to them, and they would keep God and government out of it altogether. As if they could.
And today the Francis Vatican is doing to the Catholic Church the same thing that Luther and Munzer did in the original fracturing of Christianity into irreconcilable Catholic and Protestant worlds.
State government should not be mandating moral issues one way or another over counties, townships or citizens any more than the federal government should be mandating them over states.
In the case of Ohio Issue 2, the state of Ohio would be establishing an absolute right to get stoned. People may be Gettig stoned now, but does it make any sense at all to turn that into a legal right?
My great fear is that, under Marxocrat Party prompting, the American citizenry is going immoral.
We need to get government, at all levels, to stop suppressing Jewish and Christian religion, and start encouraging it. And we need to

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport. Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
Broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matthew 7:13–15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator's supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights." --Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others." --St. Francis of Assisi
