Why in the world would an article addressing Judaeo-Christian morality be quoting Sigmund Freud, of all people?
Sigmund Freud was, publicly and in mixed company, a highly moral man. His private life and private communications were another story. (See the Freudianism pages.)
What this is about is the generally accepted platitude or bromide passed around as advice to the young man on how to succeed in life, or at least how to avoid severe failure, a police record and potential life of crime and/or destitution. I heard it again yesterday, broadcast from Clay Travis on the Clay Travis-Buck Sexton show, and it goes like this:
In our earlier treatment of the real source of Anxiety, we talked about the proper moral priorities of God, Family, Country and Self, in that order. And we described how the ongoing Marxist cultural revolution against America, Christianity, Judaism and Western Civilization had reversed that order to be Self, Commune, Party, State. In the global village, there is no god; the government is "god", and the self is dependent on the government and equal to everyone else in the "village". A new self-inflicted form of slavery.
Achieving Utopian Perfection means, of course, each "self" getting his mind right. Which means "equity" in work and reward with other members of the commune. Get your mind right or get eliminated.
Everyone in America, including Clay Travis, is somewhere along that cultural revolutionary path that abandoned God in favor of Government.
Note how he recommended holding off having a child until you are 25. Which implies the blessing and use of artificial contraception. Well, you might say, yes, but that doesn't mean an abandonment of God.
Yes it does.
It is direct opposition to the Word of God.
Let's look at what Freud said about it, quoted from the Contraception Perversion page:
Sex using artificial contraception is nothing more than an exercise in mutual masturbation. Nothing productive comes out of it. It offends nature, and it offends nature's God.
America will right herself and and begin the return to greatness when she again becomes a nation of large families. The very idea that anyone "cannot afford" another baby is a lie. Ask any large Appalachian, American Indian, Gullah, Cajun or Mid-Western family, of any economic class at all. There is always room for another baby. Any family, any culture, any nation or any population at all that does not replenish itself is a self-dooming population.
Now, you can say that some overwhelmingly large number of citizens disagree with that, and use contraception and do not consider it to be a sin or in any way wrong, and that may indeed be a true statement. But that doesn't make it right. It may be the "Democratic" way, but simple right versus wrong is not up to a vote. A thing can be extremely popular and still be wrong. That's why we are a Constitutional Republic and not a mere Democracy:
Similar things are said these days regarding the now socially acceptable open homosexuality in "conservative" circles, while finding ways to oppose the newer "Woke" advancements of transsexualism, men competing in women's sports and using women's rest rooms and locker rooms, drag-queen story hours, teaching sexual deviancy to other people's little children without their knowledge let alone consent, etc., etc., etc.
The "conservative" dichotomy is how to condemn all of that while still blessing and approving of open homosexuality.
And it is an irresolvable dichotomy because they never should have blessed and approved open homosexuality in the first place.
It never stopped being wrong just because anyone approved of it.
No thinking man should ever just go with the flow and go along to get along. But my guess is that Clay Travis will never condemn either contraception or homosexuality, because that would be so unpopular as to potentially threaten not only his own popularity, but his job.
And/or, he may actually like contraception and open homosexuality.
What we are talking about is the creeping incrementalism of evil being advanced by the ongoing Marxist cultural revolution. Get 'em to accept a little of this so that we can then push some more of that in front of 'em.
It's how Cultural Marxism got Americans to misconstrue what Capitalism actually is as opposed to what Marxism claims it is. In the current popular view, which happens to be the Marxist view, capitalism is a system of greed in which the successful become billionaires and exploit all the rest of the citizenry for profit.
But capitalism, or at least USA capitalism, is not aimed at making super-rich people, but at building Marxism's hated bourgeois middle-class into the overwhelming majority of the population, living comfortably if not luxuriously.
It is always possible to get rich here, but, what the founders were aiming at was building up a highly moral self-governing citizenry who would be free to improve their own condition in life, and their family's condition, and their nation's condition, by producing whatever good or service they chose to produce. It's aimed at the wannabe inn-keeper, tavern-owner, restaurateur, farmer, rancher, merchant, tradesman, the shop-keepers of all kinds, and all of their employees.
The people who want to be their own boss, or go their own way, or work where and for whom and in what capacity they choose to work.
That's who made America the richest nation in the world, not the super-rich. When you look at the super-rich, by and large, you are looking at Marxists or Globalists; crony-capitalists and oligarchs, and even plutocrats. They don't do much that benefits the nation, or at least not nearly as much as the bourgeoisie. Not even close.
Capitalism may have allowed them to get super-rich, but then - most of them - change, for the worse, and actually harm capitalism by joining with or even becoming government.
But the final question in all of this is where is God, in all of this?
As we said in the Anxiety treatment it all begins and it all ends with God.
Take God out of the worldly picture and it all collapses and goes to hell.
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
