We have always loved John Paul the Great. We got to see him, twice, and it wasn't easy for us. We wrote about the experiences in the Blessed John Paul page.
And we remember how he fought to keep the translation from the corrupted French (French? Why was it not Latin?) of the new Catechism out of print until it was corrected. We bought a lot of copies to give to relatives and friends, and more, just to give as gifts in office gift exchanges or any time we got an opportunity to gift anyone. We believed it was all true to the faith. For the most part, it still is; but now, as much as I hate to say it, we trust the old Baltimore Catechism more.
It has to do with the new sense of Social Justice that has crept (leapt?) into Catholic thought. It seems to be less the old Catholic (and American) view:
and more the fatally flawed egalitarianism of the French Revolution, which emphasized,
A violently sought after 'equality' born of jealousy and/or revenge.
And that form of egalitarianism became the economic 'equality' falsely promised by Marxism. It is quite impossible to achieve, but Socialism slyly continues to promise it, to gain the favor of the masses it plans to rule.
Wherever phony Marxist Socialism succeeds it always produces exactly what it demonizes: two and only two 'classes' of citizens:
And what's missing is the hated bourgeois independent middle class. Competition for the monopolists, and resistance to dictatorial rule.
But where did this new Catholic understanding of equality of stuff rather than equality of rights come from? The first place we see it officially laid down in Catholicism is in Vatican II documents.
Economic and Social differences between people have never been, cannot ever be and will never be eliminated from the one human family. This is just flat out wrong. No matter how many Communists or Socialists say it, it will still remain a political lie.
Communism invented the 'wage-gap' and 'wealth-gap' as straw villains, with Communists seen as heroes seeking wage-equality and wealth-equality, which are, of course, quite impossible. That's not the real goal. Minimum-Wages and Profit-Caps are strategic Communist inventions.
Seeking to establish economic and social equality between population groups smacks of the newest UN and EU forms of Communism, Globalism, or Global Communism. It's quite impossible to achieve, and the promise of being able to achieve it is just another evil Machiavellian political trick aimed at eventually assuming global dictatorial power.
Coupled with this seeming softening of position on condemned Communism, if not an actual incorporating of Socialist viewpoints into Catholicism, we see a softening of position on condemned Islam, too.
That is certainly not our God. Their god denies having a Son; denies the Trinity; denies the Resurrection; insists that all Christians, Jews and all others either submit to Islamic rule or suffer and die. This, too, is just flat out wrong. The plan of salvation may include them if they convert, but certainly not as they are. "No man cometh to the Father, but by me."--Jesus Christ, John 14:6.
EENS is Catholic dogma.
Islam is the false religion that the Church actually went to war against, because it menaced the whole world. A Catholic condemnation doesn't get any stronger than a declaration of war.
Here, in the documents of Vatican II, we see two of the three mortal enemies of Truth being favorably schmoozed into Catholic thinking, despite remaining mortal enemies of Truth.
And, the Islamo-Commie-Homo menace is now made less of a menace in the minds of Catholics with the newer incorporation of 'hate the sin but love the sinner' by which the Church no longer anathematizes and shuns even militant activist sodomites, but welcomes and joins with them.
We have noted in these pages, especially in Unreferenced Communism, the lack of even mention let alone condemnation of Communism in all of Vatican II. In that webpage we see Paul VI himself being linked to Communism in a very convincing way. Could we have already have had a Communist as a Catholic Pope in Paul VI?
What about John XXIII, who called the Council, and who invited Eastern Orthodox, Anglican and Protestant observers to attend? Who sought reconciliation with the world's divided Christianity, and who sought a 'New Pentecost' and outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And, who met with political and religious leaders from around the world, and took steps to 'modernize' the Church. Many now question whether this modernization was a turn toward if not into condemned Modernism rather than something more innocent.
Marielena Monteseino de Stuart, in Not A Good Mix: John XXIII, John Paul II and I, severely condemned all this Catholic rapprochement, noting that every Pope, from John XXIII to Francis, chose to dialogue with Communist dictators on every continent rather than continue to condemn them outright.
Is she right?
Noting the one exception, Paul VI, who actually may have been a Communist plant in the Church, rapprochement may sometimes be a better evangelizing strategy than staring at each other over a battle line with our fingers on our triggers.
Look at President Trump's successful use of rapprochement, in North Korea, in Red China before the Covid Hoax, and all over the Middle East.
It was a roaring success.
We cannot know for certain what was in the hearts of John XXIII, Paul VI or John Paul II. I want to believe the best about all of them.
But we have the Protestatization Of The Catholic Holy Mass by Paul VI before our eyes. However his original Novus Ordo Mass may have been corrupted by others later, it started out as a compromise with Protestant heretics to accommodate their heretical beliefs into the Holy Mass.
Why on earth should Protestant advice be used by any Catholic in the updating or changing of Catholic Liturgy?
Why did we even need a "new" Mass?
It looks like Paul VI may have been an actual Communist Pope, and of course Francis is quite obviously an Islamo-Commie-Homo Pope.
But I am not so ready to condemn John XXIII or John Paul II. Their intentions were most likely, in my mind, honorable if perhaps naive.
What are your thoughts?
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
