This First Sunday of Advent, 2020, really brings the "prepare the way" Advent message to life, looking around at the self-destruction of the human family, human culture, human nations and even humanity itself. The homily this morning beautifully addressed how Advent is related to past, present and future.
The past, in the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord. The present, in the re-presentation of the Eucharist, i.e., God with us, God among us and God in us. And the future, in the winding down of creation, the end of time, the Second Coming of Jesus, and final judgment of all of us.
It is good to reflect on the Latin rite - Latin Mass readings for today.
As we prepare for Christmas, as best we can under all the new phony and purely political tyrannical restrictions on America and the rest of the free world, we might be well advised to look to the future promise of Advent, and get ourselves ready. The First Coming is a promise fulfilled. This Christmas will be a re-creation of that event. But let us all prepare the way for the next coming, because it just may be very soon.
The time is not given to us; we know not the hour nor the day.
Several friends took issue with what they called my "claims" in the recently published Nullification page, but wished not to add their comments to it, or to be identified. It cannot be shown, they insist, that Covid-infected but still asymptomatic people cannot pass on the infection to others.
Maybe that's true, but that's a long way from saying that anyone has ever proved that any asymptomatic Covid-infected person has ever passed the infection on to anyone. In fact, that has never been proved. And what I mean by never is, not ever.
So who's the real science denier here? And what are we so frightened of? Read it again, and show me what in it that does not point to truth.
The Covid pandemic joins Global Warming and all the other Eco-Nazi fraudulent political movements of the Marxocrat Party as, to paraphrase the inimitable Rush Limbaugh, phony-baloney, plastic-banana, good-time rock-and-roll manufactured absolute nonsense. There's not a single shred of real science behind any of it. It's all Progressive-Socialist political trickery aimed at getting people frightened enough to be herded along like domestic animals, who trust in the cowboys and the truckers and the slaughterhouse workers to save them from making a (phony) fatal mistake.
As if Socialism was the antidote and salvific of man from his own folly.
Some people die from Covid-19, that's true enough. So do some people die from a single sting of a honey bee, and some people die from eating a single peanut. But we do not seek the annihilation of honey bees or the eradication of peanuts from the earth because some of us are particularly allergic or sensitive to them, nor do we quarantine whole healthy nations over them, or over any other such dangers.
We are Americans; we are not supposed to be so easily frightened.
We are Catholics; we are not supposed to be so easily fooled.
Political Progressivism, born in America of Teddy Roosevelt, was the perhaps Communist, perhaps not, sense of the need for the state to use its authority to cure all social ills in sight. To seek and perhaps achieve perfection in society. An impossibility; a fact which even a Progressive may admit to, while still trying to get as close to perfection as possible.
The problem is, our Constitution prohibits it, and limits state authority.
No matter; the Marxocrats don't consider the Constitution they solemnly swore to uphold to be a fixed legal document that says very specific legal things, which they must abide by. They consider it to be either an "organic, living document" or an "Evolving" document, written in a bygone language for a bygone era, and in need of 'interpretation' more appropriate for 'advanced' culture today.
And how is our culture 'advanced' today from what it originally was?
What was immoral then is moral today; speaking against what was immoral back then is immoral today. Abortion; sodomy; sex outside of marriage; teaching such immorality to little children in school; etc.
Here's how it was explained in Mind Your Business:
It's our own fault; we allowed it to progress this way, and this far.
As it is in the secular society, so it is inside the Church. In fact, it may be the Church, corrupted as we now know it to be, that led the way to immorality in the larger culture. Whether that is the case or not, the larger culture is not going anywhere worth going without an uncorrupted Roman Catholic Church leading the way.
How are we to face Jesus in this Advent, this prelude to His coming?
If the Church does not clean itself up, the larger culture is doomed.
Here, in part, is the homily we heard today:
It seems that real science, which refutes Darwinism, totally agrees. The universe is winding down, in obedience to the laws of entropy. Everything breaks down over time; everything becomes more simple, never more complex. We see the death of stars, but not the birth of stars. We see plant and animal extinctions, but no new plants or animals evolving. Every living being ever born alive is a slight mutation of the parent pair, and all mutations have less genetic material than the parent pair, never more. Less possibility for evolutionary change, not more. What that that means is that all life forms are getting more simple, never more complex. We, too, are winding down toward some natural end of us all, unless we meet our Advent first.
The real science deniers on the scene will deny all of that, of course. They are, after all science deniers. Just as they are One God deniers.
And, they are complexifiers, and there's nothing complicated about it. People today spend huge time, which is limited to us all, trying to find "the meaning of life", when it's right there in front of them. They search hither and yon, dig deeply into various philosophies and religions, seek out gurus and seers, and there's nothing to it. Why are you here?
To know, love and serve God in this life, and be happy with Him in the next. Very simple; nothing to it. The old Baltimore Catechism.
You don't need a guru and you don't need to search; all you need is God.
We have His Word that 144,000 of the nation of Israel will make it, and that His chosen Apostles will rule over the twelve tribes. And we have His Word that a number which no one could count from outside the nation of Israel would make it.
And, we have His Word that a whole lot more will not make it. To those on His left hand, He will say "Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels." -Matt 25:42
The Way is narrow. Get on it while you still can. Advent is here, now.
The only thing Truth has going for Him in this world is us.
The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

You cannot say that all gays are going to hell or even that being gay is a sin. Nor can you say that all who are not Catholic are going to hell.

Yes I can. I already have, and that proves that I can. Actually, what I have said is that all obstinate unrepentant sinners are going to hell. And that all to whom the Gospel has been preached and who remain outside the Church or in their state of sin are bound for hell.
It's not even enough to repent and become Catholic, and to simply be "good". More is demanded. It is your responsibility to get others into heaven. Your spouse; your children; your neighbor; your boss; your coworkers; your subordinates; your neighbor; your nation.
You are not here to just look aside and mind your own business while others sin all around you. You are called to call out sin wherever you see it, oppose it and separate from it, and keep apart from it.
Obstinate Unrepentant Sinners will not let you mind your own business. You should not allow sinners to mind their own business either.
This is war. War runs on a two-way street.
Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
