There aren't any laws that can be passed that will keep criminals from committing crimes. Criminals disobey laws; that's what makes them criminals. The recent mass atrocities committed in El Paso and in Dayton bring out the natural revulsion, public outrage and the inevitable "there oughta be a law" knee jerk reaction, but the facts remain that,
Laws piled on laws piled on laws piled on laws to stop the same criminal behavior all obfuscate the reality that no law or pile of laws or increased penalties or increased restrictions on citizen liberty are ever going to stop criminals from violating laws. The murderer doesn't even consider any law before he commits murder.
He's a criminal. That's what criminals do. No mere law will stop him.
Note well that every time the public is outraged by such a crime the first unconstitutional reaction is to restrict the liberty of the whole innocent population and increase the size, power and scope of the government. And note well which Political Party always capitalizes on that reaction.
Marxocrat Party members occupying seats in Congress and occupying benches in the Courts just keep proving their own opposition to the rule of law, to the Constitution and to their own oaths of office. They prove it in their agitation against enforcement of laws at the border, in their various sanctuary cities, in their antagonism of police, in their calls for the abolition of Immigration and Customs Enforcement altogether, and in their sedition and ongoing and attempted illegal coup d'état against the duly elected and seated Trump government.
If the Marxocrat Party did not have more control over the government than the Constitution itself, including more control of even the Supreme Court, there would be no such federal "laws" as those granting people the "right" to abort other people, or granting homosexuals the "right" to "marry" other homosexuals.
The Constitution doesn't allow for such laws, but Political Parties do, and Political Parties ignore the Constitution.
Imagine, if you will, Red Flag laws passed at the federal level to identify dangerous psychotics in order to confiscate their guns without due process and without their day in court. And try to imagine Marxocrats - Marxist and anti-American to the core - making the final determination of who is and who is not psychotic.
Oppose the Party and, you will be deemed to be dangerously psychotic.
They already consider you to be racist, white supremacist and white nationalist just by not being a Marxocrat like them. It will be a political diagnosis, not a psychiatric one.
If all the politicos want to do is expand background checks to include past "warning signs" of dangerous instability before someone buys a gun, that too is problematic. First of all, as the Dayton case showed, Marxocrat political efforts in the past expunged records of juvenile misdeeds.
Just as Marxocrat political efforts in the past got dangerously ill mental patients out of mental institutions and made it more difficult to commit mental cases to mental institutions against their will.
Just as Marxocrat political efforts in the past set criminals loose from prison without serving their entire sentences.
Just as Marxocrat political efforts in the past legalized various kinds of drugs, provided drugs to addicts, provided needles to addicts and increased drug usage to the utmost.
The record shows that the Marxocrat Party is anti-Constitution, anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Nation, Globalist, counter-cultural and sponsoring, promoting and supporting of all evils. Including Marxism.
Just look at the downtown streets of any Marxocrat run city.
The only way to fix the mess is to restore Christian faith. The government can't do that, but if the government (meaning the Political Parties) will get out of the way, Christianity will fix itself and grow itself, becoming once again the preeminent moral force for good in America, as it was in the beginning.
American morality, common sense and sanity come out of Christianity.
All that has to happen is for the government to stop suppressing Christianity. Christianity, like the citizenry, can take care of itself.
The way to stop mass-shootings is to go back the way it was when the Constitution was ratified, and everyone carried swords and/or pistols, and everyone had at the ready "assault" muskets and Pennsylvania rifles with bayonets, and, of course, all the beautiful walking sticks that were, in essence, designed to be weapons, which were regularly applied with discretionary severity against rude children, menacing dogs and brigands.
The Second Amendment, properly interpreted, armed the citizenry.
And the force the Second Amendment intended to arm the citizenry against was the government itself. Let it do exactly that.
Declare all Second Amendment violating laws to be unconstitutional null and no law. Eliminate gun-free zones. Burn the registration records. The armed citizenry will take care of their own security from mass murderers.
The first time a mass-murderer starts his rampage, the guy in front of him, or the one along side of him, or the one behind him, will shut the situation down.
Once upon a time in America, when everyone was armed, none of these things ever happened, or if they did, they didn't get very far.
A moral armed citizenry can take care of itself without government help.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
