The old cliche says that you can fool all of the people some of the time, you can fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.
Big lies do collateral damage even to those who do not believe them. Big lies "leak" smaller falsehoods and misunderstandings.
We see the evidence of these creepy leaks all around us today, like seeing a water stain on the ceiling.
A good, old, big one, that's been around for eons, and that seems to be solidly ingrained in public consciousness, is the one that says, after a court finding of not guilty, that the not guilty verdict was not a finding of innocence.
But it was.
In good justice, which is to say, in Western Civilization jurisprudence, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty. And if he is found not guilty, then the original presumption of innocence still stands. I is not incumbent on the accused to prove his innocence, but rather, it is incumbent on the accuser to prove his guilt. And if guilt is not proved, then nothing has changed, and the accused stands innocent.
Maybe someone doesn't like that, but that's tough. You can either prove your case, or you cannot.
The little, leaked-out of the bigger lies, creepy lies are the ones that do the most damage down range. It was through creepy lies that Cultural Marxism was able to conquer real Science and replace it with Scientism, or democratized science, devoid of solid evidences.
Now, it is doing the same thing to law. What shall we call it; Legalism, perhaps? Where legal cases are to be decided by poll; by the most popular conjecture or opinion, rather than by the law as written in light of the actual hard evidences presented?
It is this sort of creepy untruth that is infecting the legal thinking of a lot of lawyers, experts, pundits, commentators, celebrities and politicians currently arguing over Trump's private phone conversation with Zelensky, which Trump refers to as "perfect", and which Schiff refers to as, alternatively, quid pro quo, or, bribery, or, extortion. Can't quite make up his tiny little mind.
But it isn't Schiff's lies we concentrate on here; we all know he is lying and he is a liar.
What this is about is those who claim the private phone conversation between heads of state, according to the official transcript, was "not perfect" and "not innocent", and somehow problematic.
The most commonly heard position is that it was "wrong, but not impeachable".
When they are asked by what evidence what the President said was in any way wrong, or not perfect, or not innocent, all that is produced is not related to law and actual evidence, but to polls and popular opinion.
What was imperfect about what the President said in that call?
"Well, 97% of this group, and 84% or that group, and 58% of this other pack of experts agree that it was wrong!" is the only sort of response offered to that question.
What does anyone's opinion have to do with it?
What does the law say?
Every single deep-state witness Schiff calls testifies only to opinion and personal interpretation of the conversation, many of them second or third hand. Opinion, not fact. Interpretation, not evidence.
And no public or private poll ever proves anything other than predominant temporary opinions, and that is never sufficient "proof" to overcome the least bit of solid evidence.
Read the law as written, and read the transcript.
The call was perfect, the President is innocent.

The restoration of Truth = Reality in the hearts and minds of men is now totally dependent upon you and me; if we don't do it, it won't get done.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
