We are Homo Sapiens, or, Thinking Man.  Thinking is  arguably the most important and defining natural characteristic of human beings.  To stop thinking, or to begin thinking unproductively, or to succumb to directed thinking, i.e., allowing someone else to do our thinking, is to change our own nature and stop being Homo Sapiens. 

It is quite possible to modify a human population into a herd mentality, and to kill individual or inventive or productive "outside the box" thinking.  It has been done.  The North Korean population provides a good example.  They can be made to laugh, or to weep and mourn, or to attack someone, etc., right on queue.  In a heartbeat.  Without thinking about it.  They are a totally manipulated population.  They follow and obey monolithic thought. 

Being ruled by a dictator they practice only dictated group thought. 

In Western Civilization, Critical Thinking used to be an important part of formal education, but no more.  In Catholic Culture, Thinking Catholic and being a Catholic Thinker used to be passed on generation to generation, but no more.  Thinking - the thought process itself - is being funneled and guided into restricted Politically Correct herd-thinking, through Marxist indoctrination masquerading as education, and Marxist propaganda masquerading as entertainment and news reporting.  

America is currently being conquered, rather quickly, by the advancement of dictated monolithic thought, at the expense of natural human free thinking.  This poses a greater threat to America and to Western Civilization than the almost totally physical threat presented by all historical wars, including both World Wars. 

The just completed project to change the name of this website from the Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center to the CatholicAmericanThinker just happened to coincide with, perhaps, the pinnacle of the Marxist effort to destroy us from within. 

So, the Catholic page drew attention to how Catholicism is under attack from within, through the treachery of many of her own ordained clerics.  And the American page drew attention to how the American Constitution is under attack from within, through the treachery and treason of many of her own elected government officials.  Here we will draw attention to how citizen Free Thought is under assault in America and in Western Culture by the Marxist sub-ideology of Political Correctness. 

PC Direct Opposition to Truth is the single most defining characteristic of this sub-ideology.  Born of the errors of Scientism, directed at seeking worldly perfection in everything, not recognizing the utter impossibility of the task, Political Correctness struggles to make substance out of flawed theory.   Actually, what the movement seeks to do is to increasingly gain control over thought, and to direct thinking, into "proper" avenues.  And to publicly anathematize those who do not comply. 

In area after area, subject after subject, we see that the PC position is precisely or almost precisely the exact opposite of the truth of the matter.  Pick a subject. 

Separation of Church and State:  The PC position is always that any public display of Christianity, any Cross or Crucifix, or any display of the Ten Commandments, Nativity Scene, Scripture Verse, Public Prayer, saying "Merry Christmas", etc., is "forcing our religion on everyone".  The truth of the matter is the exact opposite of the PC position.  These public displays and activities force no one to do anything.  The Constitution forbids forcing anyone to do anything of the kind.  The government - whether legislative, executive or judicial - is specifically prohibited from even addressing the topic. 

It is the PC movement that seeks to force everyone to be, pretend to be or appear to be atheistic, against their will.  By law.  By regulation.  By corporate policy.  By campus rules.  To prohibit public displays, prayers or activities of a religious nature.  They recruit the Marxified Court system and Marxified legal system to aid in the legal suppression of public expressions of Christian religion.  It is they, not us, who thus directly violate the Constitution, while claiming the exact opposite. 

The "Constitutional Principle" they quote is not Constitutional at all.  What they actually do is get the government, the corporation, the private business man, the school, the citizen, etc., to directly violate the Religious Exercise clause of the First Amendment.  See the Separation of Church and State page. 

Freedom of Speech:  In the supposed interest of promoting absolute, unlimited Diversity, promoting even the Toleration of Intolerance of us, the PC Movement uses law, regulation, corporate policy, campus policy and major media browbeating and extortion to restrict and control language, in direct violation of the First Amendment. 

They even pass Hate Laws prohibiting Hate Speech.  Including even private speech, between private parties, never intended for public consumption.  If it is ever discovered that anyone ever in his life uttered the word nigger, as opposed to saying "The N Word", even in private conversation, he is to be anathematized, fired from his job, never to be hired by anyone ever again, never to be befriended again.  

Honky is fine; Cracker is fine; Nigger is absolutely taboo.  As is Faggot.  The Movement even goes way back in history to anathematize people long dead.  Schools everywhere prohibit the Mark Twain classics of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, because the word Nigger was used therein, in that more open, more honest, more innocent day.  And classical education is worse off for it. 

Environmental looney-tunes get in on the game and get schools to prohibit Jack London books, such as Call of the Wild, because it features ravenous wolves attacking people.  The official PC position is that wolves are nice, friendly, misunderstood, "endangered" creatures, and - in open defiance of actual history - no wolf ever ate anyone.  All wolves know they aren't supposed to eat people.  No, really.  It's part of the wolf code of honor. 

The Global Warming nuts have reached the level of social power to be able to openly call for laws or regulations criminalizing public speaking against their ridiculous theory.  With not one shred of actual scientific evidence to support their open fraud, they are calling for the criminalization of any opposition to it.  With university professors leading the way. 

Racism:  Here, the true racists on the scene have successfully painted their opposition as racists, getting themselves off the racist hook.  The Left - meaning the Marxists - in America are absolutely obsessed with race.  They can't get it off their tiny little minds. 

Remember, before the Marxocrat Party went Marxist, it was the Democrat Party, born to oppose Lincoln and the Abolition of Slavery movement.  It became the Party of Secession over the slavery issue.  After the Civil War was lost by them, they became the Party of the Klan, lynchings, terrorism, Jim Crow, Segregation, and finally, the bombings, burnings, murders, fire hoses, police dogs and clubs that ultimately lost the great Civil Rights battle in the South.  That is the racial history of the Democrat Party.  It existed to be racist and promote racism. 

Now, dominated as it is by Marxist-Collectivist-Redistributionist ideology, the new Marxocrats point the false finger of racism at America, Western Civilization, white people, Constitutionalists and Patriots.  And the new Republicrat Party joins with them, against us, seeking to insulate themselves from the invented racist aspects of the newly falsified history of Constitutional America, Western Civilization and white people. 

The name of the game is to infuriate black America and keep it enraged at "The System" and "The Man" and to be forever hostile, angry, alienated, and an ever growing potential source for future chaos, disorder and social break-down.  It's good for the future Revolution. 

Today's Marxocrat Party exists to create and feed alienated groups and keep them increasingly at odds with the larger society, as separated, "disenfranchised" and "oppressed" minority groups.  Feeding and growing hostility toward larger society is good for Marxism.  It is the goal.  See the Divide and Conquer pages. 

Again, in the New Racism Movement, the PC position absolutely demands impossible perfection.  Racism has always existed, in all races.  Racism will always exist, in all races.  Only the percentages will ever change.  Perfection is not of this world, but the next.  We all have to deal with it appropriately in life, but the Marxocrat Party will never allow that.  Racism has become a valuable tool of division for future Marxist revolution. 

The "Constitutional Right" to Abort People.  Marxist ideology, or at least the anti-Christian - anti Judeo-Christian morality aspects of Marxism, have so infected the highest levels of American political office, and the Judiciary, as to have brought about a broad consensus of American thought on the subject of the Legal Right To Abortion.  Just like in the Separation of Church and State case, the Right To Abort People was  brought into being by nothing more than establishing Legal Precedent through decisions made in cases brought before the Supreme Court. 

The People had nothing to do with it.  The Congress - where all new law originates, according to the Constitution - had nothing to do with it.  This had the effect of creating completely NEW LAW, not through the Congress, but through the Judiciary, in direct violation of the Constitution.  It remains for a future President and/or Congress that favors the Constitution over Marxism to declare these legal travesties to be Un-Constitutional, Null, No Law and No Legal Precedent, from that day forward. 

This is not Representative Law; far from it.  It is the opposite; it is completely unconstitutional Dictated Law, from above, not from below.  

Yet Marxocrat and Republicrat champions, sponsors and protectors of legal abortion rights publicly claim, with full Marxified news media, entertainment industry and celebrity support, that we, the opponents of it, are forcing our religion or our morality on them. 

Again, that is the precise opposite of the truth of the matter. 

They have imposed their blatant immorality on the larger culture, against our collective will.  It was never, and it will never be, put to any national vote.  But it is established national law.  If it wasn't for the efforts of the Marxocrat Party and a Marxified Judiciary legal abortion would never have existed at the national level in America.  It was imposed upon us. 

And it continues to kill people, and to make war on our national morality. 

I could go on, indefinitely.  The PC Movement, now owned if not originally invented by the larger Marxist Revolutionary Movement, works to "Educate" us out of our national religion, morality and ethos.  To promote the "normalization" of perversion, and the social acceptance of the abominable.  After successfully creating and feeding an invented "Gender War" it invented new "Genders" out of thin air, and new animosities, new "disenfranchised" and alienated groups, and new sources for division and future chaos. 

All while pretending to sponsor inclusiveness, and celebrate diversity. 

Right. 

Hidden PC "Education" in Entertainment.  Pop music, comedy, TV Series from mystery to science fiction to comedy, all, and more, have been insidiously indoctrinating generations of Americans in "Correct" thinking.  This is no mere social experiment.  It is training.  It is convincing us, young and old alike, that the "Correct" way of thinking is what is presented in popular entertainment.  After all, it's popular.  What is not largely recognized is that the producers declare it to be popular, and they make it popular, through repeated mass exposure to it. 

For example, pick your favorite old TV series from these, or make your own list. 

• All In The Family.
• MASH
  
• Cheers
• Taxi
• Saturday Night Live
• Barny Miller
• Everybody Loves Raymond
• Seinfeld
  
• Friends
• Sex In The City
• Your favorite show, whatever it is.

Then, through the magic of modern technology, select an episode, any episode, and watch it, being prepared to answer a few simple, black and white, yes or no, true or false questions about it.  And I'll bet I already know the correct answer to each of them, in about 90% of the cases, regardless of what show and what episode you have selected.  Here are the questions, with no "shades of gray" or wiggle room in the answers, and my "guess" for each one:

1. Did the show portray Christianity in a positive or a negative light?
   My guess:  Negative.  
2. Did the show portray Judeo-Christian moral norms in a positive or a negative light?
   My guess:  Negative. 
   
3. Did the show portray sexual sin such as fornication in a positive or a negative light?
   My guess:  Positive.
4. Did the show portray sexual sin such as adultery as "understandable" and "forgivable" therefore socially acceptable, or not?
   My guess:  socially acceptable.  
5. Did the show portray sexual sin of a perverted nature as
   "natural", socially acceptable and good, or as unnatural, socially unacceptable and bad? 
   My guess:  Natural, socially acceptable and good.
6. Did the show portray white people, especially white men, as racists and bigots, or as very tolerant people?
   My guess:  as racists and bigots.  
7. Did the show portray American history, and particularly American wars, in a positive or a negative light?
   My guess:  negative.
8. Did the show portray American existence as a positive or a negative influence on the rest of the world?
   My guess:  negative.
9. Did the show portray "Capitalism" as the simple existence of a free market obeying the natural laws of supply and demand, or as an evil manipulated "system" of greed?
   My guess:  as an evil manipulated system of greed.
10. Did the show portray Communism, Socialism or any other subset of Marxism in a positive light, or a negative light?
    My guess:  in a positive light.
    

Go ahead.  You've got that universal clicker in your hand.  Go for it.  See if what I say is right or wrong. 

What I'm saying here is that American Entertainment, almost universally, is just as Marxist-oriented and just as anti-American as is the current Marxocrat Party.  You have the ability to prove or disprove that contention, right in your hand, whenever you're watching TV. 

It's bad enough that Marxism owns public education and academe.  Note well that the "Moron Vote" is never going to read this, or anything like it.  All they know is

1. what they learned, if anything, in school
2. what they see in the Mainstream Media News
3. what they see in their favorite TV shows and other entertainment. 
   

That's it.  They're never going to hear Rush Limbaugh and they're never going to expose themselves to any alternative media.  That's why the Obamunists and the Marxocrats can be so blatant in their obvious public lies.  They're not talking to us; they're talking to their base, the Moron Vote.  The Mainstream Media and entertainment are only going to back up all the lies.  All the Moron Vote is ever going to hear are the insidious lies of Marxism, reinforced from many different sources. 

An obvious, glaring lie to us is, to the Moron Vote, the truth.  Their thinking is funneled by Political Correctness, blinded by gigantic lies and stirred toward a general building anti-Christianity, anti-morality and anti-Americanism. 

The Catholic American Thinker is called to rise above this idiotic and evil Politically Correct Thought.  The overriding truth here is that Marxism itself is a lie.  From beginning to end; everything in Marxism is false.  It is not only the Moron Vote that is fooled by Marxism.  All the Useful Idiots and the Agent Provocateurs currently "demonstrating" out in the streets are oblivious to the fact that they are mere manipulated sacrificial fools, being recruited, trained, and set up for future slaughter. 

They have never read who Marx read; they have never read Machiavelli, or Hegel.  To the extent that they can read at all, they have never read between the lines of Marx's Manifesto.  If they had, they would know that the underlying purpose of it all was not to eliminate classes and not to feed the hungry, but to overthrow all social institutions, including governments, and assume dictatorship.  And, dictatorship feeds no one, makes no one "equal", redistributes nothing, and only establishes absolute ruthless total power in the dictator.  That's the real goal.  Everything else is camouflage, and lure, and fraud. 

That's what we're up against.

Hi Vic, and Happy New Year.

I may be only reading the tea leaves here, but your "Hidden PC Education in Entertainment" section got be thinking. I seem to recall that the last TV sitcom that represented traditional family values was the enormously popular "The Cosby Show". Now, that same Bill Cosby is being given sustained negative news coverage for alleged sexual misconduct during his rather distant past. Accident, design, or coincidence?

Good question.  While it was on, it was our favorite regular show.  We also liked him back in the old "I Spy" series.  I remember thinking back in the Cosby Show days that that was the only thing on TV that showed a normal, moral, decent family living decently.  And I wondered then if the only reason there was a normal, decent family life represented in a regular TV show was that the star and the principles were all black.  And I guessed that the show never would have been produced if Cosby were white. 

But the point I wanted to make runs deep.  Shows like Hawaii Five Oh, for instance, and many cop shows and detective shows like it.  You could ask another question:

1. Did the episode oppose or support the Second Amendment right of the American citizen to keep and bear arms?
   My guess:  Opposed.  

I don't know what's behind all the recent Cosby charges, but the numbers just keep growing, and it ain't looking good for Cosby.
