Formerly the Thinking Catholic Strategic Center

The Catholic American Thinker idea flowed from the discussion after the Catholic American page. It seems the word "thinking" may be the word that drew the most thoughtful or the most critical-thinking visitors to the website; if so, it may be a mistake to drop it, if and when I change the original domain name from www-Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center.com.
I have secured www.CatholicAmericanThinker.com as a domain name, as I previously did with www.Thinking-Catholic-Strategic-Center.com. Both of them are now live on the internet, and set to redirect traffic to the home page of this website.
Rest assured, nothing is going to happen on this any time soon. I am just preparing the ground for future possibilities, and making sure I keep my best options open. If and when I change the domain name, the focus and purpose of this website will remain as described on the Home Page. The wording will change to reflect the new domain name, but with "formerly known as" wording pointing to the old domain name, which will not entirely go away. As I see it now, the site graphic and wording seen at the top of every webpage on this website will remain unchanged, into the foreseeable future.
So, how would Catholic American Thinker reflect the current intent, mission and scope of the existing Thinking Catholic Strategic Center? Looking at it one word at a time ...
Catholic American Thinker. The "Catholic" aspect of this website looks toward returning readers to basic, fundamental Catholicism, rooted in doctrines unchanged for two thousand years. To recognition of the fact that Catholic doctrine does not change. Ever. The Catholic "Public Revelation" of Jesus Christ and His Apostles, which ended with the death of the last original Apostle, is fixed and firm forever, until He comes again. It is a fixed peg in a sure place upon which we may depend to keep our balance in a moving world.
Catholic laymen need to know that all any declared dogma is, is a formalized ancient doctrine. A dogma is a doctrine reinforced by a Papal decree, or a Council decree approved by a Pope. Most usually a dogma is declared to defend a doctrine that has been challenged by someone, but it may also be declared after study, prayer and agreement among Bishops, the Pope and the Holy Ghost to strengthen an existing doctrine, as was done with the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption dogmas.
As the actual Body of Christ, Catholic laymen are supposed to be the faith and morals cultural equivalent of Force Recon Marines, or Airborne Rangers, leading the way to high American and even world morality. Except for some rare, exceptional cases, I don't see that happening; do you?
We should all give thanks to God for the Catechism of the Catholic Church, given to us by Saint John Paul the Great, as a sure norm for handing on the proper catechesis of the faith of the Fathers.
Because we cannot depend upon our current Bishops, in their overwhelming majority, to properly do it. We look at the majority of our Bishops, and what do we see?
The polished, fixed, plastic smile of a model (or a manikin) in some advertisement, or of a well practiced, conniving professional politician. Limp wrist-ed, effeminate, super-sensitive preachers afraid of hurting anyone's delicate little feelings, welcoming all to the sacred Communion Rail. Counseling extreme patience, and being "Pastoral", and "welcoming" to the worst of sinners, to attract more people to a more welcoming Church. Favoring "inclusiveness" and damning "divisiveness".
Cardinals, Bishops and Priests championing the cause for Sainthood of the flat-out Communist Dorothy Day. "Establishment" Bishops, Priests and theologians running the most famous supposedly Catholic universities, awarding honors including Doctorate in Law degrees to such rabidly anti-Catholic Marxists, Islamists and racists as Comrade Obama, peace be upon him. Scandalously allowing Holy Communion to be given to the worst of the public obstinate unrepentant sinners, and even public political champions of the very worst of sins, and even non-Catholics, like the Clintons.
Shake the dust? Never heard of it. Let's not be judgmental. Let's be patient, and welcoming, and maybe over time some of our Catholicism will rub off on the sinners and they will change.
But it's going the other way round. The sinner's worldliness is rubbing off on Catholics. The Catholic Church in America is rotting from the inside out.
Is it any wonder we have so many Lip-Service Catholics today among the Catholic laity? You cannot tell, by the way they act, by the way the live or by the way the vote, any difference between most American Catholic Laymen and Protestants, or even unbelievers.
We have to wonder how many American Catholic Clergy and consecrated religious have bought into the Contraception Perversion. How are they any different than any non-Catholic religious? The doctrine on Artificial Contraception has never changed. That means our Bishops have changed. Look to the Catechism for the truth, as a check on what the Bishops permit, for most of them cannot be trusted to faithfully pass on what was previously handed on to them.
When a majority of Catholic laymen practice artificial contraception, see nothing wrong with it, still call themselves Catholic, and still come to the Communion Rail, and thousands of Priests and hundreds of Bishops know it and do nothing about it, we've got a deadly serious Bishop problem.
When divorced and remarried Catholics in numbers comparable to Protestants still call themselves Catholic, and come to the Communion Rail, and thousands of Priests and hundreds of Bishops know it and do noting about it, we've got a deadly serious Bishop problem. As Bai MacFarlane pointed out in her comment after the Annulment page, divorce in and of itself, from a valid Marriage, can be mortally sinful, even without remarriage or cohabitation. If you didn't know that, blame your Bishop.
When "Catholic" Churches welcome sodomites and perverts into the congregation, when consecrated religious organize and participate in "Call to Action" and other homosexual politicizing organizations and rallies, inside the Church, right under the noses of Bishops, we've got a deadly serious Bishop problem. Plenty of Catholic clergy and religious are strong participants in the Homo-Nazi Movement. They are right in there with the Marxocrat Party, sponsoring, promoting and championing all of it, and putting a happy-face on sodomy.
We all know that homosexual acts are sinful, but homosexual attraction, in and of itself, is not. However, homosexual attraction is disordered, and in need of being returned to good order. To argue that homosexual attraction is not disordered is to argue that it is the norm, and therefore that opposite-sex attraction is the disorder. And that is just ridiculous. Homosexuality is unnatural, and so is homosexual attraction, and anyone afflicted with the homosexual attraction disorder should not even be considered a good candidate for holy orders or the consecrated life in the first place. How did it ever come to be that that is not glaringly obvious to everyone?
As far as Catholic American Thinker topics are concerned, here's the most important thing: Catholic Doctrine never changed.
It is our Bishops who have changed.
Catholic American Thinker. The "American" aspect of this website looks toward returning the American citizenry to remembrance, recognition and love of the idea that is America. America is more of an ideology than a place. The beautiful, unique, extraordinary idea of America is all wrapped up in the American Foundational Principles and the American Constitutional Principles. I believe that much of this original American idea-become-ideology was inspired by God.
It's all concreted into the American Constitution, which I see as a fixed peg in a sure place upon which we may depend to keep our balance through heaving political seas.
Flying in the face of this American idea are the opposing ideologies originating from or modified by the original ideology of Karl Marx, described in The Marxism Pages. These alien and anti-American ideologies include collectivization of private property, redistributionism, Progressivism, price - wage controls, minimums and caps, government control of such things as the work place, labor, education, medicine, news, food, entertainment, communication, etc.; Socialism, Communism, Crony-Capitalism, Fascism and National Socialism (i.e., Naziism).
These essentially Marxist ideologies predominate today in our News Media, in our Public Education system, in our major, first-line universities, in our entertainment, in our two major political Parties, and in our sitting elected federal government.
The Tea Party Awakening involved recognition, perhaps too late, of the imminent danger to the Constitution from within, by elected, appointed and approved government officials who are domestic enemies of the Constitution they all falsely swore to uphold in their very oaths of office.
What these alien anti-American ideologies have done to us as a people, since, at least, the Woodrow Wilson administration, is to gradually secularize (religiously cleanse) us and nearly destroy our basic, fundamental Christian morality and sense of decency. All the Founders, the Framers, and foreign observers like Tocqueville, warned early on that the liberation of the American citizenry, like the economic greatness of the whole nation, depended entirely upon a highly moral citizenry. The more depraved and immoral a citizenry becomes, the less free it may be allowed to be. The less free they were, the less wealth they would produce, and the more dependent and less independent they would become.
Immorality is doom, in more ways than one.
Recognizing that, we wrote the American re-evangelization page, and the Deep Reconciliation page. Now, American evangelism differs from Catholic evangelism in that it is a general, all inclusive call to all Christians and all Jews, of whatever denomination or description, to turn their faces back to God and return to high, Commandment-based morality. As can be seen in our original foundational Judeo-Christian Morality, only one of the original 13 American Christian Colonies was Catholic; all the rest were Protestant theocracies of one kind or another.
Today, one in four Americans is Catholic; a large minority, but still a minority. And, as we said in the Catholic American Thinker treatment above, today you can hardly tell who's Catholic among the citizenry anyway. So while Catholic evangelism should always be going on, when the very idea of America is in immediate peril, we need every Christian and every Jew marching together in the same ranks, and that means returning to light as they have been given light to see, in their various traditions.
We all know the Commandments; we should all be following and living within the same guiding American ethos. Only if the Republic survives, and the idea of America is secured, then will we will be perfectly free to evangelize each other, and let the chips fall where they may. We know where ultimate Truth resides, and we know where any honest and persistent quest for ultimate Truth will end.
It bears repeating, no matter how many times it's been said:
We have to be ready to shake the dust and move on. This is a time of dividing, less than bringing together. The ones who will not join with us must be defeated, hopefully, through voting.
As far as Catholic American Thinker topics are concerned, here's the most important thing: The Constitution never changed.
It is the Government who has changed.
Catholic American Thinker. The "Thinker" aspect of this website looks toward applying critical thinking to the lies and errors that beset the Catholic Church, Western Civilization, America, Jews everywhere, and simple common sense. We, as a people, appear to have lost the ability to not be fooled by preposterous notions, scams and open, obvious frauds. We addressed some of this in the Stupidassism page, among many, many other pages.
We have been and are being dumbed-down, on purpose. We have been and are being distracted from the vitally important topics of our day by trivial things and nonsense. We waste our time and attention on near nothingness.
Recently, I had to sit in a car dealership customer lounge drinking coffee and watching TV while a burned-out tail-light was replaced, and what was on the TV was The Price Is Right game show. Perfect example of what we're talking about here. Grown, American adults, hyperventilating, screaming, jumping up and down, running back and forth, bouncing, squealing with delight, wildly cheering, being cheered-on, cheering others on, all over - really, nothing at all. Over personally getting to be an on-screen part of one big, continuous, never-ending commercial. Over the possibility of getting something for nothing.
While America is burning down around their ears.
Science is in on it. Look at the Scientism Pages. The News Media is all in on it. Look at the Mainstream Media Pages. Coming in quiet and low, under the radar, is Islam, masquerading as a religion of peace. Look at the Islam Pages. But, far and away, the worst damage being done to us as a people is highlighted in the Death of Morality Pages.
American Marxism, under the loose control of the Marxocrat Party, is purposely fomenting class warfare where classes do not (or did not previously) exist. Look at the Divide and Conquer Pages. While pretending to aim at an ultimate classless society, they work to create classes where they do not exist. America, as a nation of laws and not merely of men, was the first Constitutional Republic that outlawed titles of nobility, so that all men would stand equal before the law.
But what does Marxism, in any form that ever did or that does exist, result in? Monarchy, in everything but name. Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, Castro, Ho, Pol Pot, Hugo Chavez, and more, were kings, in everything but official title. They ran Kingdoms. They established a ruling class - those in the government - and a ruled class - everyone else. That's what Marxism really does. That's what every form of Marxism has always done. That's what our Marxocrat Party and our Marxist Media are driving at. The transformation of America into a Kingdom, by another name.
We have already been Sovietized, while we were sleeping. The gigantic pyramid of unconstitutional administrative bureaucracies are already in place, already ruling us, through uncountable layers of petty bureaucrats "adminstering" every aspect of our lives. Representative Congress no longer needs to legislate; we have unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats who can regulate.
Getting rid of these unconstitutional federal departments and bureaus, at this point, cannot be done without severe, extreme division in America. We talked about what must be done in the Fixing America Pages, and in the Cut The Spending Pages. But there is now no way these things can be done without a major political fight, losing old allies and gaining unexpected new ones, and many switching sides, maybe multiple times.
Take just public education, as an example. People are just waking up to Common Core, but I'm telling you, the whole education system is not only fatally infected, but completely out of Constitutional scope. In my opinion, education is out of scope for State government. (What government that you know of is qualified to educate anyone?) The Department of Education never should have existed. But now, when you cut it off, what happens?
There are whole towns, and many big-city neighborhoods, all over America, for whom high-school football has become the biggest single tradition in existence. They aren't going to be happy when their federal school funding is cut. But I'm telling you, this can't be fixed. It can't be change, corrected, and made better. You can't just cut Common Core and go on about your business as if nothing else is wrong, or you'll be right back at this point again, sooner or later.
It's the same situation with health care, and with health care insurance. It cannot be fixed; not by government. It's the same thing with the EPA, and with HUD, and with FDA, and with just about all of the giant federal bureaucracies. We have become addicted to them. We don't think we can get along without them.
But we must.
Government, especially federal government, is not qualified to practice education, medicine, insurance, food production, housing, pharmacy, etc., etc., etc., yet the federal government has it's unconstitutional fingers in all of that and more.
We've got to end it, or it will end us.
As far as Catholic American Thinker topics are concerned, here's the most important thing: Critical Thinking never changed.
We have allowed ourselves to be changed. Waking up to it and recognizing it is the first step toward correcting it. One man at a time.
How's that for sticking to my original website principles?

On behalf of GLBT Conservative Catholics, your homophobia is showing. Your Catholic faith calls you to love, inclusiveness and acceptance, not extreme judgmental-ism, hatred and divisiveness. There are plenty of good, decent and upright members of the GLBT community who are just as Catholic, just as American, just as Conservative, e.g., "constitutionalist" as you. Why do you insist on attacking them and driving them away instead of welcoming them as allies in the good fight? You even damn gay attraction as a "disorder" and you would restrict them from certain jobs. Are you really Catholic at all?

Excuse me? Homosexuals are good, decent and upright? By what moral standard?
Maybe by the standard of Sodom and Gomorrah?   Maybe by the moral standard of BMDFP10 and Marxocrat Party members?   Certainly not by the standards of the Catholic Church.   Certainly not by the standards of Eastern Orthodoxy, Judaism, or those Protestant denominations that follow Luther's dogma of Sola Scriptura (sole authority of Scripture).   Certainly not by the standards of the Holy Bible, whatever version you choose to pick up.
I submit that homosexuality in no way "good, decent and upright". Quite the opposite. But it's not enough that they are homosexual, they insist that I, and the whole world, must know it. That makes it doubly sinful, because it is scandalous. But it's not even enough that I, and the whole world, have to know all about it, we must also bless it, and not say one word against it. And that doubles the sinfulness again.
And I, am attacking them? Excuse me? I don't even want to know about it, but people like you will not leave me alone about it. You are going to keep pushing acceptance of it on the world until - what? - until the whole world becomes homosexual, and heterosexuality is outlawed? Is that what you want?
And, you seem to claim that homosexual attraction is not disordered. Well then, what is the natural order of human sexuality? What does simple common sense tell you about it?
Why, exactly, should normal heterosexual men living in close community be required to live with men with the homosexual attraction disorder among them? Why, exactly, should normal heterosexual women living in close community be required to live with women with the lesbian tendency disorder among them? Are the only people on earth who have any freedom of very close association the perverts and, as you call them, the GLBT community?
How did that ever come to be?
As to your final question, yes, I am fully Catholic. And just what the hell are you? A Lip-Service Catholic? A Cafeteria Catholic, who picks and chooses among the doctrines for the ones you follow and the ones you reject?
Or are you what your words reveal you to be, which is, an obstinate unrepentant sinner?
I am going to keep on speaking the Truth. If you do not see that you suffer from a disorder, you will never be healed of it. Only the Truth will set you free. Take it or leave it.

I would caution all of us that the Jewish religion is in opposition to the Faith. Doesn't mean we should persecute Jewish people (or anyone else for that matter) but Talmudic Judaism says horrific things about our Blessed Mother and the Rabbis in Judaism will tell us quite openly that Jesus was a revolutionary, a heretic, and he was judged and executed righteously. It is no more of a valid religion than Islam. Every time I see reference to Jews and Christians or "Judeo-Christian values" I wince. Doesn't mean there aren't some amazing Jewish people- God's works are many and mysterious and quite wonderful.
It is our duty to pray for the conversion of Jews, Protestants, Moslems, and all heretics and non-believers- and another good reason to stay in a state of Grace so our prayers will be pleasing to our Blessed Lord.

All of that may be true today, but Christianity itself was born from within the religion of Judaism. We cannot throw out the whole of the Old Testament, which makes up more than three quarters of the whole Bible and still call ourselves Catholic. Even after displacing so much of the Mosaic laws pertaining to diet, bloody sacrifice and so forth, Jesus still reaffirmed the Ten Commandments, and much more of the Torah and the Prophets. He kept more than He violated or dismissed. Violating the Sabbath was specifically what got him arrested, tried and crucified, yet he was still born a Jew, and if we would keep all of His Word, we would need to include the Old Testament with the New.
In that sense, we are indeed a Judaeo-Christian people, and that is and should be our religious ethos.
Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.
Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life; please God, and live forever.

"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction.
