I keep running into people who insist that the Roman Catholic Church is not the original Church founded by Jesus Christ. The fact that they have no solid basis for such an argument does not seem to deter them at all, or even cause them any concern; they are somehow convinced, although they cannot provide any historical or rational explanation for their argument. Even though the actual history of the Roman Catholic Church is unbroken, from Peter. Linus, the successor to Peter, is even briefly mentioned in Scripture (2 Tim 4:21).
The history is huge. In the Fathers of the Church alone, the history of enormous. We have the writings of the Ante-Nicene Fathers, the Post-Nicene Fathers, and even non-Catholic historical sources of the Church's history, for those willing to research them. But, in my opinion, the best Catholic historical proof of the founding and continuing of the Catholic Church is in the individual histories of the Popes themselves.
Go ahead and look them up, one by one. It is an unbroken chain, from Peter until today.
Note that there were many historical periods in which we had multiple Popes at the same time; the "illegal", or illegitimately seated ones were known as antipopes. Through political shenanigans, these antipopes attempted to take over the Church, with the support of some faction of dissident Bishops. (Sound familiar?)
How do we know which one was the real Pope and which the antipope? Easy enough, now, in hindsight; the one who had a successor was the real Pope. When the real Pope died, the whole world's Cardinals formed the Conclave to elect a new one. When the antipope died, only a few dissident underhanded political Church leaders were left standing around wondering what they were going to do now, while the rest of the world pretty much ignored the event and just went on about their business.
All of this shows that the Church is not perfect; neither were all the Popes impeccable. But none ever taught error on faith and morals. See the Infallibility page.
Here are the Popes:
So, go ahead, look them up, one by one. And then show me the history of your denomination. The Roman Catholic Papacy is the oldest continuously existing human institution on earth, by a huge margin.
Blessed by God forever, and all glory be unto God.

Never be lukewarm.
Life itself demands passion.
He who is indifferent to God has already forfeited his soul.
He who is indifferent to politics has already forfeited his liberty.
In America, religion is not mere window dressing and citizenship is not a spectator sport.
Do not allow our common destiny as a whole people to just happen without your input.
Seek the Truth; find the Way; live the Life; please God, and live forever.

Enter ye in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and
broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there are who go in
thereat. How narrow is the gate, and strait is the way that leadeth to life:
and few there are that find it! Beware of false prophets, who come to you in
the clothing of sheep, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Jesus Christ; Matt 7:13-15
"We belong to the Church militant; and She is militant because on earth the powers of darkness are ever restless to encompass Her destruction. Not only in the far-off centuries of the early Church, but down through the ages and in this our day, the enemies of God and Christian civilization make bold to attack the Creator’s supreme dominion and sacrosanct human rights.”--Pope Pius XII
"It is not lawful to take the things of others to give to the poor. It is a sin worthy of punishment, not an act deserving a reward, to give away what belongs to others."--St. Francis of Assisi
